I was trying to think of the best way to share ideas and inspiration images for the house and came up with the idea to have a blog dedicated just to YOU gorgeous people! :))
Of course, this communication will just be between the three of us (unless you choose to share it with others). I only ask that I be able to use the before and after photos for my new business venture. From now on, you can call me Mrs. Cham+Thom...aka Decorating Diva Extraordinaire.
Okay...okay...we can wait on that. :)
First, I must get some projects done!
I know you guys are a wee bit busy these days and I'm so happy to be helping you out with some design/decorating projects. Of course, we all know that I think your home is absolutely lovely just the way it is (and I am ready to move in at any time...just say when!) but I also know what it's like to get a little bored with the space you're living in. Plus, since you've moved in, your needs have changed. May I remind you of your finest work to date? The two beautiful additions to the family that have spiced things up on Brixton Road?!
My goal is to help freshen up your living space so that it feels new and improved. Decorating is such a personal thing and we need to make sure, that when all is said and done, your house feels like YOU and not me. My hope is to do some research (I know you don't have time for this silliness) and present some ideas. I'll show you examples of things that I like but also I'll need to know what YOU like so that I can start narrowing down my searches. Just try to have an open mind, my lovelies. I will show you different options and you tell me "yes, yes, no, yes, no, yes." Also, specifics are good. That chair, that rug, the color of that wall, etc. I may show you an image of a $1000 piece of art or furniture to see if you like "the look" and then try to find the same shape, style, feel, etc. in something less expensive or vintage.
Think of decorating like a stylist putting an outfit together... She comes to the photo shoot armed with belts, handbags, jewelry, shoes, etc. She starts with the "foundation" and then adds a number of different layers and tries different combinations. Some how some way the winning look comes together...and quite often it's totally unexpected when it does!
I really do think I have some (decorating) formulas that work well. At least, that's what I've been told. :) Regardless, it's all about Casa Simpson and what works for your family. Together, we will freshen up your home and make it feel new again.
Now, on to the fun stuff. Let's play dress up and see what happens!
